Integration of seismic and well data for a 3D model of the Balkassar anticline (Potwar sub-basin, Pakistan)

چکیده

The Potwar sub-basin is an important hydrocarbon producing zone of the Upper Indus basin and has significant oil gas potential. Balkassar area main field mainly produced from Eocene carbonates. Chorgali Formation age reservoir rock in this area. Structurally, complicated, surface features often do not reflect subsurface structures. This due to presence detachments at different levels. In such cases, it necessary integrate seismic data with geological information for accurate delineation Eleven profiles were interpreted understand structural style. To correlate well data, a synthetic seismogram been generated. Time, velocity depth contour maps have prepared. A 3D model prepared which confirms that four-way anticlinal structure bounded by faults. It makes more favorable accumulation. Moreover, cross section five wells show spreading. Based on it, relationship between compressional tectonics basement slope, case study, anticline was as closure pop-up provides trap accumulation hydrocarbons. study will help us hydrocarbons same type traps similar kinds basins. also relevant exploration within Pakistan.

investigating the feasibility of a proposed model for geometric design of deployable arch structures

deployable scissor type structures are composed of the so-called scissor-like elements (sles), which are connected to each other at an intermediate point through a pivotal connection and allow them to be folded into a compact bundle for storage or transport. several sles are connected to each other in order to form units with regular polygonal plan views. the sides and radii of the polygons are...
